The Canadian Committee for the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (CCIUCN) is calling for nominations to join its board of directors in 2022 (self-nominations accepted). If you have a passion for conservation and would like to be involved in a national committee that aims to inform, connect and promote conservation actions in Canada, we would love to hear from you! Nominations are due no later than December 13th, 2021 and all inquiries and submissions should be sent to CCIUCN@nature.ca.
A nominations committee consisting of 4 board members and observers will be reviewing submissions and a slate will be recommended for the board to endorse prior to being elected at the 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) (date to be determined). No nominations will be accepted from the floor during the AGM. Candidates accepted for approval at the AGM will be notified in advance and each must be members of the CCIUCN prior to acceptance. Should attendance at the AGM (virtual or in-person) not be possible, candidates will be asked to accept in writing before the AGM.
